Former millionaire and #sex therapist Wendy-Ann Paige (best known for a Lovers Guide video that was considered racy by British standards and some books she wrote in early 1990s, which would be considered relatively tame today) was found dead in #Southend #Essex at age 61 following a suspected #overdose (she was suffering from #addiction but had also been taking painkillers after being injured in an accident a year before)

D'oh! Not a good idea to do that in the middle of #Southend anyway, even less so when there's a fat copper in hi vis *immediately behind you* (even in a plain car the #Roads #Policing Unit #officers have to wear uniform to prove they are actual old bill and not some random walt who bought blue lights off Ebay). I guess he doesn't look in the rear mirror much..

The lad also failed a #drugs test so is likely to get a 1 year #driving ban

Signage at rail stations across #Essex has been upgraded with a £7,000 grant from Greater Anglia’s Customer and Community Improvement Fund. The Essex and South #Suffolk Community Rail Partnership (CRP) used the funding to install line-specific branding at all stations on the six rail branch lines in Essex. These lines, including the Sunshine Coast, #Mayflower, #Gainsborough, #Flitch, Crouch Valley, and #Southend lines, now feature unique logos on station signage to help passengers identify their routes easily. Jayne Sumner from the CRP highlighted the significance of the new branding in promoting each line’s identity. Greater Anglia’s Partnerships Manager, Scott Dolling, praised the initiative for improving station signage and supporting community-focused rail enhancements. The Customer and Community Improvement Fund aims to support local initiatives that enhance rail travel and benefit the community.

Although I guess its legally correct, #squatter doesn't seem like the right word in this case in #Southend #Essex - it appears the Council or some other group has provided #housing for vulnerable people, who were then invaded by hard #drugs dealers and bullies who trashed their house and even attacked one of the legitimate residents (bringing the #Police to the building and getting the whole lot locked off)
