The Wild Horses of Sable Island by Roberto Dutesco just showed up at 200 Park Ave. S. on the north side of Union Square Park. The large scale photographs are quite magnificent. Done this week for a community art study of water. Itsukushima temple, Rebelle 7 Pro.
This is from a photo I took in 2009, and my third attempt at painting it. A loose, painterly approach proved much more successful this time around, instead of getting lost in the accuracy and detail of the architecture. I wanted the focus to be the water, anyway.

For #MountainMonday - Mount Shuksan reflecting in a tarn with just a bit of sunset light still touching the top. This area in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State, USA, is a bit of a cliche location, but it is hard to pass up 360° scenery like this.

The last bit of sunset light on the top of the peak of a mountain with a mountain tarn reflecting it in the foreground. The edge of the tarn is lined with large rocks with a clump of coniferous trees off to the right.
