It’s ok to be scared about the idea of being nonbinary if you’re questioning.

Growth and change are often scary, especially when dealing with labels considered “controversial” by many. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being afraid.

Just remember that there are many of us who have been where you are now, and many can help you find your courage.

You are not alone.

You should not be expected to know every possible nonbinary label you can choose from (or that you can make them yourself).

It’s ok to feel lost among them all and not know where to start when you’re questioning.

This is a new area of knowledge for you, and, like every new subject, there’s a lot to take in.

We all have to start somewhere. Take your time.

" gyaaah thing won't let me edit and update but eh: lgbtqia.space/@MxVerda/1138702 has more info, where I can babble on at my leisure.

(If you want to join mastodon, beige.party or tech.lgbt or historian.social would all be decent starting places.

Yes, you can move server later. Yes, you can export all your posts and relationships.
No, it's really not as complicated as you first expect, from not having considered it before.
Literally just try, thank. I'm free to answer questions wherever if I can help.) "

LGBTQIA.SpaceMx Verda (@MxVerda@lgbtqia.space)What is Hormone Replacement Therapy? (Download and archive this video.) A hormone is a chemical messenger made by your body to send signals to some or all body cells. Some hormones are made in other bodies or through chemical processes, like other medications. HRT is a medical treatment for certain conditions, including menopause for some people, or precocious puberty for others. (Mostly) Older men and women also use it to affirm their gender experiences. HRT has certain side effects on your body. You may find these desirable or unpleasant. Any medical intervention can have therapeutic effects and side effects. Different people experience different outcomes. Do you want or need to biohack your hormone levels to affect your body? Please learn more from your GP, family doctor, primary care provider, or another trusted clinician with access to your personal medical records. Some of the waiting lists can be quite long, or involve more steps than you may expect. "If any cis or questioning people in the comments are still confused why anyone would "want" (need) to consider different options, remember the context.

Most of us already DIY their mood and function with caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, paracetamol, and others.
These are all over the counter non-food substances with therapeutic and side effects.
Plus cosmetic surgeries and (unregulated) supplements for people unhappy with their ageing process.

The difference here is a group of people whom we can target, attack ("justifiably", not), and scapegoat to stall for time while avoiding real causes like inequality. "

@CultureDesk This paper is super inspiring! What's shimmering in here is how much #pedagogy the art of transmitting the #understanding is fundamentally anchored in the science itself: The attained beauty would be as much aesthetics as it is a transmission power.

This supports: #Science needs to be reinvented (by #questioning, #critics-izing, and #reformulation made more beautiful) by every single scientist. Only then can it progress and can the quest for #beauty continue motivating.

You don't need to have somehow "known" that you were nonbinary as a child if that's not how things went for you.

There are many ways to learn about yourself, and all of them are legitimate.

Some flowers bloom in the spring, others in the summer, and some can even push up through the snow.

You have (and will) change and learn in your own time, which is always going to be the right time.
