I’m still mirroring chapters I wrote so far for the Operating Superstars project on to Neocities. It’s been a busy past few days but I spent my free time continuing my draft I had on hold of “Same Place, Different Universe”, so chapter 3 might be ready soon.

Chapter 7 and 8 of “I Was a Software Developer…” are still in-progress with being mirrored because chapter 7 will have a significant rewrite with a new section, and chapter 8 might too.

I also updated the #Wiki article for IWASD with a template to show that this change is in-progress; it also features another character, Kyouko (Windows 95 + 98).

Her normal outfit and details of her backstory aren’t finalized but when I improvised for her first appearance in Version 3, I considered that she could be an entertainer between construction work, or was a construction worker before she ventured into the field of entertainment 🤔

The two chapters of “System Time Reset…” were mirrored to Neocities:

Más bocetos de Trovador. Estuve imaginando la dinámica que tiene con Momo, de pronto se me hace que Trovador lo conoce desde que es chico y que sencillamente pudo haber decidido que va a protegerlo (y así termina siendo su teniente/contramaestre cuando crece), al fin y al cabo Trovador es Enojo, y la función del enojo ES protegernos, es una parte que nos ama, por más incómoda que pueda llegar a ser.

Varios bocetos de Trovador. En el primero se lo ve enorme e intimidante, con la mirada de furia clavada al frente, con su sonrisa dura (no tiene labios), tiene una mano sobre el hombro de Momo preadolescente con un gesto protector, mientras Momo tiene cara de despreocupado y algo pícaro. Momo tiene un halo de ángel sobre la cabeza. Otro boceto: se lo ve a Trovador de lado con una expresión más relajada, sosteniendo una tacita de té con delicadeza, con el meñique levantado. Le sale una flecha que dice: "¿Cómo hace para beber si no tiene labios?". De ahí sale una flecha señalando un monigote cómico de Trovador lanzando todo el interior de la taza directo a su boca. Tiene una lengua larga y puntiaguda. Último boceto, se lo ve con cara neutra, pero sigue "sonriendo", porque al no tener labios los dientes puntiagudos le forman una sonrisa permanentemente.

The other character #Illustrations for chapter 10; the chatting at the table leads in to Polyxena telling Damien about the time a teammate chose to debut at one of The Ship Deck’s most infamous venues.

Juna, Etta and Phuong had different opinions about being the one to volunteer to tell that story, but Polyxena eagerly volunteered.

These illustrations particularly the group picture combined work in the programs I use the most; Inkscape for vectoring, Blender3D for modling props and backgrounds, and Krita for the painting effects and some editing.

Chapter 10 of my #Webnovel “I Was a Software Developer…” has been published! I didn’t get to Valencia appearing on stage as I intended for this chapter, she appears in the beginning agonizing over public speaking. Who enjoys public speaking? 🤔 I'm not sure I know anyone who does!

It’s so long I split it into two parts. I’m also preparing to mirror the story chapters on a new section of my Neocities site which I haven’t really used since my other project has been on hiatus for months 🥲

This chapter delves into more #Worldbuilding including the role of the combatant classes and also clarified that not all OSes were already combatants and some aren't, though that may depend on the team. Some of the teams will prioritize combat skills more, or less than others.

Wanted to draw the original version of one of my main OCs back when I used to play a TTRPG in a group many years ago. Also updated his outfit for fun and indeed it was fun to draw him like this again and not just his human counterpart design.
