Representatives of #Czechoslovakia were made to wait outside while the 1938 #Münich Conference took place between #France , #Germany , #Italy and the #uk . The terms of the deal were dictated to them and they had to comply. Less than six months later #Germany occupied Prague and proclaimed a protectorate of #bohemia and #moravia while #slovakia became a notionally independent satellite state. War in #europe came later that year!

Ein Sommer wie früher ist das heute, da sind wir uns einig: 30 Grad, das war in unserer Kindheit die Temperatur, die noch aktive Sommergestaltung erlaubt hat. Darüber, bei 31 Grad konnte man nur noch baden gehen und bei 32 Grad war „Raumschiff Enterprise“ im kühlen Wohnzimmer angesagt. Bei 30 Grad fährt es sich auch heute noch recht angenehm Rad, vor allem dann, wenn die Route durch ein schattiges, ruhiges Flusstal geht, wobei sich das mit der Ruhe schnell relativiert, wenn auf der anderen Seite des Flusses wieder ein Güterzug vorbeidonnert.
