Aside from the walking today…and the views…absolute highlight was coming face to face with a ring ouzel! I’ve only seen one once before, on Dartmoor. This one did not hide his displeasure at my presence so I moved on quickly.

Hallo meine lieben Lebensformen,
in Wien gibt es in Florisdorf eine Kolonie Graureiher. Sie brüten auf einer Insel und können von Land wunderbar beobachtet werden ohne sie zu stören.
Am Wochenende war ich kurz in Wien um liebe Menschen zu treffen habe aber die Zeit am Sonntag vor der Heimfahrt genutzt die Reiher zu besuchen. Graueiher im Prachtkleid sind schon toll und die "Kleinen" sehen immer aus wie Punks. So süß.

Tiere sind Freunde und kein Essen oder eine Plage.
Bleibt gesund, glücklich und verliebt.

Der schlimmste Seelenschmerz ist das Fernweh.

Hello my dear life forms,
In Vienna there is a colony of grey herons in Florisdorf. They breed on an island and can be observed wonderfully from land without disturbing them.
I was briefly in Vienna at the weekend to meet some lovely people but used the time on Sunday to visit the herons before travelling home. Grey herons in their finery are great and the ‘little ones’ always look like punks. So cute.

Animals are friends, not food or a nuisance.
Stay healthy, happy and in love.

The most terrible pain in the soul is wanderlust.

🇫🇷 En attendant que la lune apparaisse... Choucas des tours, étourneaux sansonnets et même un étourneau unicolore (qui serait très rare ici, migrateur accidentel) et tourterelles font mon bonheur depuis la fenêtre de ma chambre. 🙂

🇬🇧 Waiting for the moon to appear... Roosters, starlings and even a single-colored starling (which should be very rare here, accidental migration) and turtledoves make me happy from the window of my room. 🙂
