One of the final modules for my #StackSynth project: the #noise generator. It outputs white, blue, and pink noise and uses a #3904 and a #TL074 with a lot of resistors and a couple of capacitors.
It is based on Moritz Klein's video: youtu.be/0yB_h_wFkh4
I prototyped it on solderless #breadboard and then designed the #PCB in @kicad and let @aislerhq manufacture them again. It turned out quite nice and sounds great.

will play with Pausa a Pausa plus Sara Neidorf 5.dec at the Cinematheke in Leipzig. we chose silent films by women (*) of different decades and we will play our own soundtrack live.

meanwhile, you can listen to our sound of previous screenings at Pausa a Pausa bandcamp.

(*) we tried explicitly to find silent films by INTA and actually the jury is still out, suggestions VERY welcome.

All my stuff came in so I can start building my cassetone!
I'm hitting my ceiling in understanding of electronics.
SO. I'm trying something that may not have been done yet, and need some guidance. I'm getting zero info from the official discord, or info about what I can be doing to make this work. This seems very possible.

I'll be replacing the oscillator 555s with the tape walkman, I know that the speed may be routing to the clock 555 IC, but not sure where it routs to because there is more than 1 wire. (I'm replacing a potentiometer and routing to the 555)

Any reason why I should use the diodes and resistors in this build?
Any info would be appreciated.

I created a "one chip" #opensource #hardware #modular #diysynth TrebleSynth

github.com/profdc9/TrebleSynth

based on the #raspberrypi pico. Create subtractive and FM #synth instruments with 6 voice polyphony by connecting modules (VCO,ADSR,LFO,VCA,etc.) and #analog controls. Supports #MIDI #USB and #serial with built-in keyboard, expression pedals, many effects such as reverb/delay/flanger/chorus included. Cheap, commodity hardware and easy #diy through-hole assembly.

A recent #opensourcehardware project I made is the #Guitar Pico, a super cheap guitar pedal using common, cheap parts and sporting 25 effects that can be cascaded. It has a stomp pedal for changing effects, can be using to tune, acts as a MIDI device, is configurable through USB, and uses expression pedals and standard 9V power. #VGA output for visual effects is not implemented in software yet.

My mom's obsessed with getting a theremin, so I was looking around, found an expensive moog one, some cheap off brands without volume control that looked a bit like a scam, and this very interesting one, the Open.Theremin

gaudishop.ch/index.php/product

Seems cool and relatively easy to assemble.
Anyone familiar with it?

Picophonica — A Raspberry Pi Pico synth engine for a toy keyboard, with instrument presets and Midi out.

A friend gifted me a cheap toy musical keyboard. The sound quality was atrocious, and it could only play one note at a time. So I removed its circuitry while keeping its enclosure, speaker, and keybed, and with some tinkering and a Raspberry Pi Pico I turned it into something usable.

#HifiBerry is doing 20% off on all boards for #blackfriday - there's a lot of ripoffs around that day, but this is not one.

I have most recently acquired an actual Zynthian v5 box and getting the hang of all the stuff in there is my priority at the moment, but if you're interested in doing any sort of DIY synthesizer or DSP based on the Pi platform, I own several of their boards and they sound as good as any audio device I have owned in my lifetime.
