Mike In The Spring Garden

A few more #winter delights from the garden this morning.

I love winter green arum plants. These belong to that family traditionally known in the UK as Lords and Ladies or Jack in the Green.

What better way to protect the spring and summer #pixies and #fairies in your garden than to provide them with evergreen homes until the longer days of spring will allow them to spread across the land again.

Names under the photos.

Arum italicum Chameleon has large wavy leaves with a deep green margin and mottled centres. Very vigorous.
Arum Taff's Giant, new to us this year but is supposed to be a beast. 😊
Arum italicum ssp neglectum Miss Janey Hall has yellow and green mottled leaves in varying proportions. A bright gift to the winter garden. Good grower.
Arum italicum Gold Rush has beautifully rippled leaves with lime green (gold is pushing it) jagged veins like lightning. Nice.
