Finally starting #100DaysToOffload after getting inspired by @joel and others!
Here's my day 1: Dishes before music - https://bojidar-bg.dev/blog/2025-04-18-dishes-before-music/
The article explores my latest attempt at setting up a habit through succinct rules (:
Lets see if that helps with pushing out posts twice a week as the challenge entails
Feel free to skip this toot…
I am finally getting down to business (other than unpacking, cleaning, chasing up awaited deliveries and sorting out delivery issues with various shops) and this new dwelling is finally ‘feeling’ like my abode and no one else’s.
I have a tonne of good #habits to get back into, like daily #callisthenics, #walk/jog, #TaiChi, #meditation, #martial arts training (including study), music (#Guitar - poor thing has been lonely for so long), riding my #motorbike, and #cooking (the healthy kind). So much to get on with and to enjoy. And let’s not forget: Picking UP my #writing (RayPierreLeonard.wordpress.com) - that’s also been held in abeyance for far too long.
Today I restarted callisthenics, later I will have time to do some TaiChi. With so many things I wish to do, I am tempted to set up a weekly plan so as not to get lazy (or too busy) again… I don’t know. I’ll see how I go for a while.
Anyways enjoy your day folks, it’s never going to come around again.

1 Month Sugar-Free Complete!
A whole month without sugar and sweets! So far, sticking to my New Year’s resolution has been a success!
Anyone else hitting some milestones this year?
Streaks are meaningless to me, perhaps I have too many interests ? There’s no way I could get to everything important to me every day. Am I the only one who feels like the “don’t break your streak” isn’t really all that motivating?
I journal most days. I exercise most days. I practice music most days. Whether I do them everyday or not seems irrelevant.

I am SO proud of myself! I have added a new free zine to the ko-fi page that has been dormant for many years and am working on a second one :)
The zine is to help you build a new habit over 30 days and it's hand drawn, which makes it extraordinarily wonky.
The instructions on how to cut the zine are on the page too, in images
I don’t make resolutions for the new year. But I do make some easily-achievable aims that don’t require much effort or discipline. I don’t even write them down. So I can’t even tell you if I hit all of my aims. All I know is that I did pretty good with last year’s aims that I *did* hit, which was to eat more salads and to try new local restaurants. There were probably others, like getting more sleep, or drinking more water, which I didn’t do so great at.
Welcome to 2025! Think about changing up your transportation habits while you're setting some aspirations for the year ahead. Or even just for one month to test the waters. https://bikestylelife.com/2025/01/01/new-year-ahead/
Since I lost all the data migrating from #iOS to #lineageOS I made a little clone of the Days Since habit tracking app on my website.
Process, not product. It took me ten years to realize that the process I use to achieve my goals is more important than the end result.

Honestly it's a good thing I've been colouring my spinning tracker with my new fountain pen inks because it forces me to do some spinning before I can start swatching ink. I'm really not a daily habit person normally but it's fun to pretend for a month!
@Marrekoo Maybe both? I read a study a while back that said action precedes attitude. So you don't love biking and start to do it; you start biking for whatever reason (health, economy, convenience, a new love interest does it, etc.) and come to love it.
Here are my thoughts on a blog post by @birming regarding #writing as a daily activity. Let's just say I am not the best at keeping at it, but that's ok!
