Kennt eigentlich jemand eine seniorentaugliche Launcher-App für Lineageos/EOS? Meine Eltern hatten immer Biglauncher, aber die haben jetzt die Sms-funktion und Telefon-funktion ausgelagert und verlangen dafür extra Geld, ich befürchte, das läuft irgendwann in ein Abo über.
Sollte irgendwas mit großen Symbolen und ohne viel Wisch-logik sein, meine Eltern fühlen kaum noch was in den Fingerspitzen. Handys sind Galaxy S10 mit #lineageos und sollen es auch bleiben.

Still looking for a suitable new phone from time to time. On the #LineageOS website there's a very helpful list of officially supported phones. But on the phone details list I see that some/many of them still only run a deprecated #Linux kernel...
Even the #Fairphone 4 is listed with a deprecated 4.19 kernel, while their websites is boasting about "software longevity" and "software support until at least 2026".
Is none of these manufacturers able to upstream their shit into the Linux kernel?

has anyone here installed #LineageOS on an old LG phone??? it's been a minute since i've had to flash and ROM and i'm trying to determine the difficulty level #nerds

I’m trying to check if an old phone running #LineageOS in the US is network locked. It currently doesn’t have a SIM card in it, but I could put in inactive SIM in it if that would help.

I tried several online IMEI checkers. Besides being covered in ads, none of them showed the lock status.

Suggestions? Thanks!

Acompanho desde meados do ano 2020 o desenvolvimento do /e/os, uma ROM construída a partir do AOSP e do #lineageos . Actualmente uso um Murena Fairphone 4.

Há por aqui mais alguém a usar /e/os?

Ça m'énerve !!! Hier sur #franceinter dans #letelephonesonne ça parlait de ce que pourraient faire la France et l'Europe pour contrer les droits de douane. Un moment sont évoqués les #gafam . Question vite évacuée : "On n'a pas d’alternative".
Mais si bordel on en a plein des alternatives : les distributions #linux et #bsd et plein d'autres pour remplacer Windows et Mac, #lineageos , #iodeOS , #murena , #sailfish pour remplacer android, et tous pleins de #logicielslibres pour le reste !!

C'est #lundiRetape : je remplace la batterie de mon téléphone qui a fêté son septième anniversaire récemment. Il marche parfaitement et est à jour avec #LineageOS, par contre l'autonomie de la batterie, ça commençait à devenir pénible (surtout en itinérance). Ça devrait normalement aller mieux ! J'espère qu'il durera encore 7 ans
