Spycop HN85 Roger Pearce 'Roger Thorley' infiltrated anarchist groups 1979-84. He gave evidence to the spycops public inquiry in July 2024. The Inquiry hasn't posted video of him being questioned on its YouTube channel, so we've posted it on ours.

Thorley wrote anti-police articles while undercover. Afterwards he became a Special Branch manager before retiring in 2003 to write awful novels.

The Undercover Policing Inquiry is having a week off. It'll be back on Mon 10 Feb for 1 week to finish 'Tranche 2' looking at #spycops 1983-1992.

It'll be back in the 2nd half of the year for the Special Demonstration Squad 1993-2007. This will include infiltration of the Stephen Lawrence campaign.

In the final questions of his time at the #spycops public inquiry, manager HN109 pointed the finger at Bob Lambert for burning down a Debenhams store while undercover. He also said he was horrified to learn about Lambert & John Dines deceiving women into relationships, it meant he hadn't done his job, & he apologised to the women.
