David Mayhood<p>For me, crossing into the USA has been a concern since my vehicle was searched in 2 separate incidents in the early 2000s when entering Montana from BC. In both cases, the answer I gave that triggered an immediate search was when I was asked the purpose of my visit. "I'm attending a scientific meeting in Missoula," I said. This is after sending me a dirty, broken pulse oximeter, then ignoring my calls and attempts to inform them of this. The sensor readings were consistently low, but I foolishly tested with it anyway. They then had a "doctor" generate a sleep report based on this incorrect data. Insurance is taking their side, which means I have zero options here except to grit my teeth and get fucked financially.</p><p>Seriously, I cannot stress this enough - look for literally any other option.
