"Launch Alert

Vandenberg SFB Guardians and airmen are scheduled to support the Firefly Alpha FLTA006 launch of the Message in a Booster mission from Space Launch Complex 2 (SLC-2). The launch window is targeted no earlier than 6:37 a.m. - 7:29 am PT, Sunday, April 27. If needed, backup opportunities will available Monday, April 28 until Thursday, May 1 at 6:37 a.m. - 7:29 a.m. PT.
A live webcast of the Alpha FLTA006 Message in a Booster will begin about 50 minutes prior to liftoff in collaboration with NASASpaceflight.

There is the possibility that residents of and visitors to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experience will depend on weather and other conditions."

Anyone in Santa Barbara/Ventura County tired of being startled by sonic booms at all hours of the night, here's the Vandenberg launch alert email/phone signup page.

It's expected these may dramatically increase with the owner of those rockets now exerting direct control over the US government. This won't fix that problem, but at least you will know when they are coming.

Awesome program in Ventura County!! If your gas water heater has issues and needs to be replaced, this group will lend you a heater until you can install a heat pump water heater (!!!). Heat pump water heaters are much more efficient and save money, and use electricity instead of gas. #waterheater #repair #VenturaCounty

Hey, it's a non-oligarch space launch in Santa Barbara, tomorrow, April 16th, 2025 from Vandenberg AFB:
