Cops used tower dumps to track not only suspect’s phone but also #vehicle. Detectives asked Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T to send information on all connecting devices to six relevant towers. They saw a Verizon BlueLink onboard Wi-Fi system had pinged two of the towers. According to a complaint against the eventual suspect investigators believe the BlueLink was inside his Hyundai.

The #VW keyring isn't there merely for vanity, its a reminder that this fob is for my own car if I'm working on fleet #cars (I've ended up carrying 2 or 3 such fobs including my own) or helping a colleague sort out #vehicle problems, so I don't end up with the wrong set of keys..

Tip: if you have a spare fob, check the battery in that one works - both my main and spare fobs had low batteries (or else I would just have used the spare today and order the batteries online)
