Activist investors led by billionaire Nelson Peltz have failed to take over the board at Disney. Peltz told CNBC in January that Disney was not being run "properly" and in a recent interview with the Financial Times, took aim at Marvel projects for focusing on diversity. NBC News · Disney board battle: CEO Bob Iger vanquishes billionaire foe Nelson PeltzBy Rob Wile

I read today that #BobIger is exhausted and frustrated about his attempts to "rescue" #disney

Poor baby.

Maybe cutting the throats of another 10,000 loyal employees, raising prices again, reducing services again will cheer him up.

Maybe he needs another raise and some vacation time on one of his mega yachts.

@Daojoan Exactly! #Disney made $28 BILLION in profit in 2022, slit the throats for almost 10,000 loyal employees to please a Wall Street billionaire and raise the salary of #BobIger to $37 million a year.

Employees successfully carried out management’s direction and are slaughtered for it because Wall Street demanded more profit.

In the article, Iger reveals he just learned a good story matters, & he believes he’s been fixing things at the company which has faced 2 proxy fights this year, triggered 1st dual strike in ½ century & the longest actors strike in film history, & he’s personally being sued by multiple groups of investors. Bob, you are the problem. It’s you, chucklehead.

"During the writer's strike this summer—where among other things better wages were high on the list—Disney's CEO Bob Iger called the union's expectations 'just not realistic,' that's the quote. And it landed in Hollywood among the writers with kind of a thud, considering that Iger makes something like 500 times more than the median salary of his own employees."
