Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to object and bargain if someone wanted to replace you at work with a machine, instead of being sorely out of luck (S.O.L.)?
The tentative agreement aims to make that dream a reality, if it ratifies: https://bit.ly/DominionOverTheMachines
via Duncan Crabtree-Ireland: “An insightful analysis from the law professor who was the USA's chief negotiator of the international treaty a protecting actors’ performances. Check it out…”
Watching the second Contract Roundtable talk about the tentative agreement, and happy to be seeing what David Blue & Jen Levin put together.
Thankful for them and Ben Whitehair,
Jason Winston George, Woody Schultz, Charlie Bodin, Natalia Castellanos, Nicole Cyrille, Frances Fisher and everyone who has worked so hard for so many.
In the article, Iger reveals he just learned a good story matters, & he believes he’s been fixing things at the company which has faced 2 proxy fights this year, triggered 1st dual strike in ½ century & the longest actors strike in film history, & he’s personally being sued by multiple groups of investors. Bob, you are the problem. It’s you, chucklehead.

Happily, Data Driven Investor has published my article “Dominion Over the Machines”: https://bit.ly/DominionOverTheMachines
So Colleen Basis has shared some clear thoughts on how to evaluate and plan for what is needed if the tentative agreement is not ratified.
A plan for what comes next matters: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0NW-FwP55P/
I just finished writing this article. I think many are underestimating just how impactful this SAG-AFTRA tentative agreement can be: https://bit.ly/DominionOverTheMachines
I made this image for an article I’m writing called “Dominion Over the Machines” about how the SAG-AFTRA AI precedents (if ratified) may move things forward not just for actors, but for every human that may face non-humans doing their work.
Interesting times we’re in.
So Alex Winter wrote a nice article about the SAG-AFTRA tentative agreement:
