A recommendation if you have #MUBI: #TheLastYearOfDarkness, an interwoven slice-of-life documentary focused on five regulars at a fringe/alt nightclub in Chengdu, Sichaun, China. It's not groundbreaking as such but it is a good view of people who feel very much like familiar figures in a (to me in the US) different space -- and there's a remarkable use of the Fashion Rocks performance of "Life on Mars" by #ArcadeFire and #DavidBowie towards the end. https://mubi.com/en/us/films/the-last-year-of-darkness
