Been SO busy that I've had no time for bird photography. However my most time consuming project is wrapping up soon and I'll finally have time to get on the trail and catch some boids

1st gosling pics this yr & these tykes were already quite big. Park/creek/ponds in this location becomes a day care center for goslings every yr. Hopefully I'll see some ducklings soon too
I don't know about you but violets & dandelions are my biggest harbingers of spring. Many a spring day while walking to/from elementary school (50+ yrs ago) I'd gather a nice bouquet of both.

Local murder member calling out to its murder pals on Tuesday.
I always whistle the same tune every time I see crows in the hopes they'll remember & pay me no mind while I respectfully approach them for a pic. Works sometimes
I've taken on a major project & have been very busy but having fun. Unfortunately, I'll have much less time to photograph #SpringFlowers like this red maple form yesterday.
But it's really nice to have TOO many fun things to do.

One of the best aspects of #photography is that you spend a lot of time noticing. Prior to photography, I never paid attention to overwintered plants like these seed pods (sweetgum?) from Friday. You miss a lot when you don't notice. Like the beauty of overwintered plants.
There's something reassuring about seeing crocuses bursting forth from between fallen leaves. It makes me feel good. I always like to lie down in the leaves next to them when I take photographs and experience that renewal on a more intimate scale .

The crocus carpets are in full force in my friend's garden. He must have 100s all over his yard.
Got a bunch of spring projects to get going on so my SM presence will be sporadic for a couple months.

My butterfly amaryllis this morning.
I raised this amaryllis from a small bulb I purchased 4 yrs ago. I wasn't sure if it was ever going to bloom but amaryllis foliage s quite lovely on its own.
Definitely worth the wait
Took my very 1st robin photo in March 2021. I celebrated by beginning a new tradition. I decided that my 1st robin photo each spring would mark my official 1st day of the season, 3/20 or not.
Caught this handsome devil yesterday, so, my Spring-eth Hath Sprung-eth!
