This is Taint in a less chaotic mode, with the vocals mostly buried in the mix (and effects), maintaining a whispering giallo mode throughout. It of course features his trademark high-piercing feedback noise, leaning more towards the side of "regular" noise, which I like. Rather short, so it makes for an instant replay.

They've always kept the quality high, but "Death Zones" is by far the Genocide Organ album from this side of the 2000s that I've listened to the most. It's on the slow and brooding side, which I like best.

Thriving on everything that is wrong with the world, it's maybe easier than ever to find material. When there's a Trump sample quite early, where he says stuff like "the best is yet to come", it also makes it feel a tad more real than usual.

I like 7 inches, and I like random:

Contrary to what the cover wants you to believe, #5 in Con-Dom's Sermon series is called "Love".

I feel there was a lost opportunity for a word play using the artist name, but I think he was too serious for such things.

Anyway, this is, of course good, as are most of the output from one of the most unique power electronics artists.

There seems to be no Netflix documentary dedicated to Gary Ridgway/the Green River Killer, so this impersonation by #Deathpile will have to do. I haven't been the biggest fan of this CD before, mostly because of the cliché thematics, but I feel I'm able to see past that now. It's really well executed. It would've been a bit easier to catch serial killers if they were shouting out their thoughts like this.

Anenzephalia @ Dominion of Flesh

Very powerful performance, and easily my favorite during the festival.

Also interesting how delivering the vocals in such an emotionless way (as opposed to, for example, #Control) can work so well. It feels so.. well.. German. The accent of course contributes to that. The Inade and Ex Order vocals are delivered similarly. It's the Kraftwerk heritage.

STROM.ec: Divine Legions Beyond Psyche. Power electronics can be sometimes become quite boring because of sameness in sound and thematics. This, on the other hand, is something quite unique in both regards. Very much a dystopian sci-fi hell vibe to this. Highly recommended. #nowPlaying #powerElectronics #noise #StromEc

Here's what that inverter replaced. This is an old inverter made by Trace, which was a big name in off-grid inverters back in the day. It was working until recently, when I was told it started shutting down randomly and beeping with some sort of alarm. We were talking about replacing it anyway; it's an inverter/charger like the Victron, but for whatever reason wouldn't charge from our backup generator. It's also modified sine wave (more like a square wave), made an audible buzzing noise, and wouldn't run the ceiling fan in this building.

I grabbed it since we were going to throw it out. I'm not sure how much effort it's worth to get it going again, but I've wanted to take one of these apart.
