Alison Wilder<p>Switched to a minimalist launcher on my GrapheneOS phone, and I LOVE IT. Allerdings gilt auch hier meine dringende Empfehlung: Zweitgerät besorgen für den Umstieg. Erst wenn alles läuft, kann man dann das überflüssige Handy weggeben. <br>Ich bin für die Installation übrigens ziemlich 1:1 und ohne Komplikationen diesem Tutorial gefolgt: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYK8kWxColk" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=BYK8kWxColk</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> <br>Im GrapheneOS gibt es einen kleinen Store, über den man dann den FDroid Store installieren kann; und dort wiederum findet man den Aurora-Store, über den man Zugriff auf praktisch alles vom Google Play Store bekommt. <br>Einige Apps weigern sich freilich zu funktionieren, wenn kein Google Play Service oder Play Store installiert sind, auch diese lassen sich als Apps installieren und dann auf die zwingend notwendigen Berechtigungen einschränken. <br>Spannend war dann nochmal der Umzug von Kontakten, Kalender und Aufgaben weg von GMail. Liegt jetzt beides bei Mailbox.org. Um das dann im Handy wieder nutzen zu könnten, ist etwas mehr Aufwand als bei Gmailnutzung nötig: </p><ul><li>Als Kalender Frontend der Wahl setze ich nach wie vor aCalendar+ ein. Für die Kontakte nehme ich die Fossify-Contacts aus dem FDroid Store.</li><li>Zur Synchronisation der Konten habe ich jetzt zusätzlich DAVx5 installiert. (Aurora-Store)</li><li>Damit auch die Aufgaben in aCalendar+ zugreifbar sind, musste ich außerdem die App "Tasks.org" aus dem FDroid-Store installieren. </li></ul><p>Für die Korrekte Funktion einiger benötigter Apps lasse ich die Google Play Dienste und Play Store im Hintergrund laufen, diese haben aber eingeschränkte Rechte: </p><ul><li><p>Play Services: Nur Benachrichtigungen, Netzwerk und Standort </p></li><li><p>Play Store: Nur Benachrichtigungen und Netzwerk </p></li></ul><p>Damit bekommt Google zwar immer noch ein paar Infos über mich, aber bedeutend weniger als über Android, wo beide Apps immer die volle Berechtigung auf alles hatten. Und vielleicht lässt sich das ja auch noch weiter optimieren. </p><p>Der Rest ist auch hier: Herumspielen, ausprobieren, optimieren. But since we like the concept and design, let's talk about Punkt 🇨🇭, the "detox" and pro-privacy smartphone 📱.</p><p>Do you think we really need all those apps that are installed in our smartphones?</p><p>In our world of "app-obesity", Punkt offers a breath of fresh air with a simpler approach to technology.</p><p>Petter Neby 🇳🇴, a Norwegian entrepreneur, founded Punkt in 2008, a company that create products that focus on the things we really need without any of the distractions we don't.</p><p>Punkt is based in Switzerland 🇨🇭, it had around 50 employees and offers 2 different mobile models:</p><p>The 1st is the MC02. It has basic digital tools and focuses on privacy and security - email, calendar, contacts, notes, storage and a built-in VPN. Besonders lästig bei Chats, Version Control Systems, Kalender, ... im Browser.
