Dag!

Ik ben Suseela - duurzaam productontwerper met liefde voor natuur en bloedjemooie dingen.

Ik fotografeer bloemen, vouw ezelsoren bij mooie zinnen en heb een hond met humor.

Ben ontwerper en producent van o.a. de Tiny-Trees (#kerstboom voor aan de wand).

In zoektocht naar een langzamer leven.

Van plan hier taalparels te delen + de bloedjemooie dingen die ik tegenkom.

Saponaria officinalis blooms in the Netherlands in the summer and is quite common there in the wild, including on our golf course. There they bloom in large groups. I photographed them after a fresh rain shower. Always fun to do, because of the many raindrops. Moreover, I think it is a beautiful flower. Also for a garden. In the Netherlands the plant is called "Zeepkruid (Soapwort)". These are the pink flowers of the Saponaria officinalis. In the photo a small piece of stem (horizontal, coming from the left in the middle) with in the middle and right of the photo a bunch of 15 small pink flowers and about 10 still in bud. The sepals of the flowers are rolled up into a tube of one centimeter, from which the light pink petals protrude (5 petals per flower). It has rained. Some flowers are a bit wilted by the rainfall, but others have already recovered. Lots of raindrops lie on the leaves. The background is vague and darkgreen in which various different types of leaves still can be recognized.

Vanmiddag weer even op mn gemak door de tuin. Kleurexplosie van de tweede serie bloemen; allemaal bloembollen. De derde komt er ook al aan gezien de vele groene bladeren.
Van de eerste serie lopen de helleborus, vibernum en camelia op hun eind.

Compilatie van 6 foto's van bloeiende bloembollen. Eentje tussen de stenen van het trottoir, 5 in de borders. In spierwit, bleekroze, hemelsblauw en paars met wit.
Uitgebloeide Camelia bloem drijvend in de waterbak (drinkpunt en vogelbad). Eendenkroos en reflectie van de struik in het water. En foto van de struik in bloei met een waterton ernaast en een stukje van de klinker bestrating

You can enjoy the Hydrangea for so long. This shrub blooms profusely in the summer, even in the shade, in late summer the color changes to pink or green or very dark red depending on which variety you have. And then in winter the flowers become like lace, which is nice to photograph. Only in the spring when fresh green appears on the shrub again, I cut away the old flowers to make room for new blooms. #hydrangea #hydrangeas #flowers #flower #macro #macro-freaks #macrophotography #bloemen #foto #photo #garden #shadegardening #gardening

The flower of a Hydrangea in winter. Only the "skeleton" remains. A small stem comes from the upper left corner, diagonally downwards. The flower with three more petals takes up the entire photo, to every other corner a transparent, lace-like petal. The upper left is blue, but behind the flower it is dark, so that the lacelike petals illuminated by sunlight stand out well.

A lawn full of all kinds of colorful, wild bulbs in the central reservation in our street. The red-yellow tulips are the most striking, they stick out above blue and white muscari and low little pink tulips. Something to try out yourself in your lawn or in a part of it. They may not be mowed for a while when they have finished blooming. A green lawn full of all kinds of flowering bulbs. The red/yellow tall tulips nearby are the most noticeable. Below that blue and white Muscari flowers and low pink wild tulips.
Same lawn now with the grasses (I think they are) a bit higher in between. A somewhat wider view.
The same lawn photographed from a distance. Now the large whole of bright flowers stands out. A party that comes back every year.

Meerderheid Nederlanders wil bloemen zonder bestrijdingsmiddelen, maar weet niet waar ze die kunnen kopen.

Dat blijkt uit een onderzoek onder ruim 1.000 Nederlanders door Natuur & Milieu. Acht op de tien Nederlanders koopt graag #bloemen. Maar een meerderheid van de Nederlanders ziet ook de risico’s van het gebruik van bestrijdingsmiddelen in de teelt en koopt liever bloemen zonder gif (63%). Over het algemeen hebben mensen echter geen idee waar ze die kunnen kopen...
