My third custom painted #gunpla -- MG 1/100 MS-09H Dwadge Custom (as seen in the animated series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, piloted by Desert Rommel).

The full piece is titled "WAR READY". It is my first diorama and my first time using add on parts and epoxy putty to add detail, as well as creating foliage and rock effects. Completed as a part of the 2024 #CeruleanProject

Here is a full view of the Dwadge mobile suit sitting on its platform. I imagined that it would have just been firing up after many long years of dormancy. In the tv show, Desert Rommel waited in the north west of Africa for 8 years after the conclusion of the One Year War before getting a chance to fight the Zeta Gundam.

This was inspired by the manga artist Kazuhisa Kondo, who frequently used Zimmerit and other WWII era imagery in his illustrations of mobile suits.
A top-down view of the front of the Dwadge, showing the shading on the Head Hawk blade to give it a superheated effect. There is also a good view of the red paint coat which I think is one of the best parts.

Despite being still sick, I managed to put on the last touches of my female boxer #Figurine. I used little Mac from Punch-Out as an inspiration for the colors, but ended up following it very loosely. I redid the midriff after messing up with a wash on the abs. I really should have cleaned the print more as there are some spots very it would‘ve been necessary. But it can’t be helped now. One of my Galen assistant moments-

Crafting a wire mounted airbrush hanging system so we could airbrush on red over the black "blockout" paint. Also good to show the students the filtering effect that paint can have on the glass and how it might differ from just using colored glass.

I really like how bouncy and minimal the wire hanging is.... It could be fun to do this again.... but deeper in the woods. Maybe next year or another time back east :)
