ich habe endlich mein Isotopentafel-Puzzle fertig modelliert und gedruckt. Damit kann man die Isotope zusammenpuzzelnd und anschließend Zerfallsreihen ermitteln, wobei ein „Zerfallsrahmen“ auch nur auf die Isotope passt, die diesen Zerfall „können“.

Trying #OnShape, and instantly confused.
Why would it obscure the length of the line that I'm drawing with a label for an existing line?
Why can't I set the length of a line while drawing it? Instead, it seems I need to draw it to about the right length, then create a dimension, which I can then use to change the line length. And now it's showing ugly dimension lines that I don't need.
And why would it format the length of a selected line *as if* I can change its length, and then not allow it to be changed (at least not there).
And these are just simple basics. I must be missing something here.
Finally taking some time to learn OnShape. I've always used TinkerCad for 3d modelling stuff, but it's a pretty simplistic tool.
OnShape is definitely more complex, but I see how for proper CAD, this is definitely teh right tool. It has some super-weird UI concepts, but I'll figure it out.
Working on speaker mounts for the #pinball machine.
My portable #airbrush LT-Boxx project really comes along. I designed some inset boxes to occupy the space and store supplies safely in the LT-Boxx. I fitted a custom inset for my compressor and I am super happy how it worked out so far. But since the inset is over 310mm in one dimension I had to cut it up in the slicer and Acetone weld the parts together. #3DPrinting #OnShape #MakersHour

@flauschzelle I use #Onshape, which ist browser/cloud based an thus runs on „every“ machine.
@MagicLike if you prefer #FOSS take a look at #FreeCAD. Otherwise I prefer #OnShape over #Fusion.
The noise in my head would be significantly reduced if I mastered CAD. Because so far, I’m doing the Smart EV conversion battery case design solely in my head, in 2D and in a spreadsheet. Going from 2D design proficiency to 3D is surprisingly frustrating. #FreeCad makes me want to crawl up in a corner. Now trying #OnShape, #tinkercad and #Fusion360.
The solar #eclipse is coming up. Hope it’s clear enough to use the telescope, but I didn’t have a sun filter, and couldn’t get one for this older-model telescope in time (it seems). I did, however, find 0.001% transmission film designed for this. Needed a way to mount it.
My often-neglected 3D printer (and #onshape) to the rescue:
Replacement part to fix a Koenig hand blender, where the bottom part keeps falling off...
The two parts will be glued to the top and bottom half of the blender, and will be connected by a small allen key.
I'm curious whether it will work

I can not express how ridiculously frustrating it is to have it take MULTIPLE MINUTES (5+?) to export a damn stl file or export an archive file.
Also, I effing hate it's "we're a desktop app, except you're screwed without our servers". Fucking commit. At least OnShape had the cajones to go "it's a web app".
Somehow OnShape manages to export any format instantly or within a few seconds.
One of my biggest challenges switching back to #Linux now, is the lack of support for #Fusion360 used for #3dprinting.
Many would critisize me for using Fusion360, but hey! It works!
I am productive, efficient and good in it. I have my workflow and I have 2 years of experience in it. It has its problems and me using it is in no way me actually liking and approving of their business practises or how they treat our community.
So I guess I am finally making the switch to #onshape
@artologica there is this tutorial to make a hinge in #Onshape… if you have the dimensions of the one you want to make it should not be too difficult?
