For sure a reason I'm posting more selfies is the UK Supreme Court ruling. I've lived in seven countries in my life for over a year (Ireland will be the eighth soon ) and the UK feels so small now I'm away from it again. It feels like a country flailing around in isolation.

Eure Zahlenspiele sind nichts als transphobes Gift, eingewickelt in "Journalismus". Ihr verkauft Hass als Information und nennt es dann noch "exklusiv". Was für ein Witz! #HaltDieFresseSpringerPresse

Die Wahrheit ist: Ihr habt ANGST. Angst vor einer Welt, die eure miesen, engstirnigen Weltbilder nicht mehr braucht. Eine Welt, in der Menschen frei sein können, ohne sich vor eurem hetzerischen Dreck rechtfertigen zu müssen.

Jede einzelne trans* Person hat mehr Mut im kleinen Finger als euer gesamtes Redaktionsteam zusammen. Während ihr im Schutz eurer Mehrheit Hass schürt, kämpfen sie TÄGLICH gegen die Scheiße, die IHR mit produziert.

Euer "gesunder Menschenverstand" ist nichts als verkappte Diskriminierung, euer "Schutz der Kinder" nichts als Heuchelei. Tatsache ist: Trans* Menschen gibt es, gab es immer und wird es immer geben. Sie waren schon immer Teil unserer Gesellschaft – mit oder ohne eure mickrige Erlaubnis. #TransIsBeautiful

IHR seid das Problem, nicht die 6000 mutigen Menschen, die endlich ihr wahres Leben leben wollen. IHR verbreitet den Hass, der zu Gewalt und Suizid führt. Und dann habt ihr noch die Dreistigkeit, euch als "Stimme des Volkes" aufzuspielen?

Hier ist die Realität: Trans* Menschen existieren. Ihre Rechte sind Menschenrechte. Und keine noch so manipulative Umfrage, keine noch so große Schlagzeile wird das jemals ändern können.

Dieses Land gehört ALLEN Menschen. Auch jenen, die nicht in eure verkrampften Geschlechterschubladen passen. Eure Zeit des Hasses läuft ab. Die Zukunft wird vielfältig sein – und ihr werdet nur noch ein hässlicher Fleck in den Geschichtsbüchern sein.

So, here's me, definitely biological, definitely a woman, back from having my boobs squashed for the first time!

Not exactly fun, but fine and essential!

Absolutely lovely lady did it, and yes, she knew I was trans before I got there (medical records are continuous here).

Results in a couple of weeks, and hopefully, that's it until the next time...

Morning walk, and it's gorgeous in Cork The bluebells are out, but only a few as it's hedgerows not woodland here. Also some wild garlic so I'll have to make with that for @IsabelB and I.

I saw Victoria McCloud KC the ex-Judge and trans woman working with the Good Law Project on US CNN rocking some gorgeous red lipstick yesterday. Visibility matters and I thought why not?

From Ireland, it's like witnessing the UK losing it's collective mind (again) and spasming down the drain. It's sad, you know?

Out for a walk this with Isabel in the lovely Cork sunshine. She's the one striding ahead of me like the Duracell bunny as always(... pretty much a metaphor for how our relationship works btw! )

Join Ely Pride to protest the recent Supreme Court ruling that the term Female relates only to gender assigned at birth. This is a huge step backwards for trans rights, safety and inclusion.

I will be going to female loos in the UK with an Irish driving license (no gender) and an NHS letter for follow ups after my breast cancer scare (all clear thank god)

The last time I tried to use the mens loo (years ago, 'reasons') a nice man redirected me to the women's loos ...

I really wonder how the UK thinks this will work?

Du fragst dich, wie du als cis Person trans Menschen wirklich unterstützen kannst? Ganz einfach: Es gibt viele Wege, wie du dich stark machst und für trans Personen sichtbar wirst!

Eine der einfachsten, aber effektivsten Möglichkeiten ist es, Trans-Abzeichen, Buttons, Pins oder Schals zu tragen – und zwar deutlich. Zeige deine Unterstützung für die #trans #Community und mach es sichtbar! Je mehr #cis Menschen das tun, desto sicherer wird es für uns trans Personen in der Öffentlichkeit. Ich möchte überall hellblaue und rosane Farben sehen! Es bedeutet, dass das Tragen eines solchen Symbols nicht gleich jemandem als trans entlarvt, sondern einfach als Unterstützung verstanden wird.

Und falls du jetzt denkst: „Aber was, wenn die Leute denken, ich bin trans?“ – warum sollte das ein Problem für dich sein? Hast du Angst, falsch verstanden zu werden? Willkommen in unserer Welt. Diese Angst erleben wir jeden Tag – und sie gehört zu den vielen Hürden, mit denen #transPersonen konfrontiert sind. Aber genau darum geht es: Wenn wir uns gegenseitig unterstützen, machen wir es für alle leichter, sich selbst zu sein.

Aber es geht noch weiter! Hier sind noch weitere Wege, wie du als #cisPerson für #transMensch|en da sein kannst:

Bildung und Aufklärung – Informiere dich über die Erfahrungen von trans Personen, ihre Geschichte und die Herausforderungen, denen sie sich stellen. Je mehr du weißt, desto mehr kannst du Verständnis und Empathie zeigen.

Höre zu und sei da – Manchmal geht es nicht nur darum, etwas zu tun, sondern einfach zuzuhören. Sei ein offenes Ohr für die Geschichten und Bedürfnisse von trans Personen.

Setze dich für trans Rechte ein – Unterstütze Organisationen, die sich für die #Rechte von trans Menschen stark machen, und setze dich aktiv für gesetzliche Veränderungen ein.

Verwende die richtigen #Pronomen – Es ist so einfach, und doch ein so großer Schritt, um trans Personen zu respektieren. Achte darauf, die Pronomen von trans Menschen zu verwenden und auch im Gespräch darauf hinzuweisen, wie wichtig es ist, dies zu tun.

Stelle dich gegen Transfeindlichkeit – Wenn du Zeug*in von transfeindlichem Verhalten oder Sprache wirst, stelle dich klar dagegen. Es ist wichtig, dass wir als Gesellschaft zusammenstehen und jegliche Form von Diskriminierung ablehnen.

Das ist eure Zeit, cis Menschen! Ihr habt die Chance, zu echten Verbündeten zu werden und uns Trans Personen aktiv zu unterstützen. Lasst uns gemeinsam für eine Welt kämpfen, in der wir uns alle sicher und akzeptiert fühlen können.

Zeigt eure Unterstützung! Tragt eure Abzeichen, sprecht offen über trans Rechte und setzt euch für echte Veränderung ein. Denn eure Hilfe kann Leben retten.

The uk ruling may not affect me directly (yet), but I still feel it - as I do the crap in the US.
The US I can easily avoid - the UK less so, but I will be thinking long and hard before I travel there.
