Strandhill

A bay with calm, slightly grey shimmering water and a wild beach covered with seaweed, stones and grass after high tide. Under a predominantly grey sky, the grey silhouette of Table Mountain Benbulben, partly in the clouds, can be seen in the distance. The sky brightens on the horizon.

Sligo coast

The photo shows a coastal landscape with a view of the Atlantic. In front, the rough and angular grey-brown limestone stretches into the foamy sea. Behind it, the ocean stretches to the horizon, interrupted only by a flat rocky island at the back right. Another shore can be glimpsed behind on the left. North of Sligo

Trawalua Beach

A deserted beach in the evening light. The Atlantic tide is coming in from the right and has already partially washed over the huge beach, leaving the sand glistening wet in the evening light. Dark seaweed is scattered across it. The dunes lie dark on the left. A wide, atmospheric sky stretches over everything, with differently shaped clouds through which light still shines in some places. On the horizon, this light is already orange from the setting sun.

Ein menschenleerer Strand im Abendlicht. Von rechts kommt die Flut des Atlantiks herein und hat den riesigen Strand schon teilweise überspült, sodass der Sand im Abendlicht feucht glänzt. Darauf liegen verstreut dunkle Algen. Links liegen dunkel die Dünen. Über allem spannt sich ein weiter Himmel mit verschieden geformten Wolken, durch die an einzelnen Stellen noch Licht scheint. Am Horizont ist dieses Licht schon orange von der untergehenden Sonne.

Sligo coast

In front, short, green-brown grass and dark stones lead to the bright blue waters of the Atlantic in the bay between Strandhill and the headland of Rosses Point, where meadows, fields, walls and scattered houses can be seen in the distance. Behind it stretches the Dartry Mountains with the Benbulben table mountains to the right and Gleniff Horseshoe on the horizon. A wide blue sky stretches across the landscape with a few piled up white clouds in the background.

Vorne führen kurzes, grün-braunes Gras und dunkle Steine zum leuchtenden blauen Wasser des Atlantiks in der Bucht zwischen Strandhill und der Landzunge von Rosses Point, auf der in der Distanz Wiesen, Felder, Mauern und vereinzelte Häuser zu erkennen sind. Dahinter erstreckt sich die Gebirgskette der Dartry-Mountains mit den Tafelbergen Benbulben vorne rechts und dahinter Gleniff Horseshoe am Horizont. Über der Landschaft erstreckt sich ein weiter blauer Himmel mit einigen aufgetürmten weißen Wolken im Hintergrund.

Union Rock

A gravel path leads through a wooded area with bare and coniferous trees on the right and left to a lighter-coloured area further ahead. The forest ends there, but the path continues.

Ein Schotterweg führt durch ein Waldstück mit kahlen und Nadelbäumen rechts und links hin zu einem helleren Bereich weiter vorne. Dort endet der Wald, der Weg geht aber noch weiter.

Ebbtide at Lissadell

A seascape on the west coast of Ireland. The view is towards the bay of Lissadell. In front is the dry beach with a few narrow, shallow stretches of water that shimmer in the evening light. Behind it, the bay opens up to the Atlantic Ocean and the mountainous shore opposite, which lies as a dark blue-grey silhouette in the backlight of the setting sun. The evening sky glows in contrast to the orange sunset and the grey-blue clouds.
