Lovely run up to Loch Earn and on to Killin.
The mirror man is back on the shores of the loch, he was removed for a few years - not sure why..
Sadly it was a grey day else he would have shone and looked even more alien like

Slowly increasing the lighting with a torch over a few nights to get better shots on the phone camera.
I would love to use my actual camera but it's got that good old shutter noise, they'd run a mile if they heard that.
Slowly increasing the brightness of my lighting so not to spook the badgers.
I was lucky that the 2 babies came out for dinner last night
Even luckier to get a decent photo with the low light, long exposure and 2x moving targets.
Baby badgers - badglings, badglets, buppies, bittens (?)
I've been feeding a family of badgers through the years.
Recently my trap cam caught 2 youngsters & the mum coming to the garden.
I braved the freezing night air to stand and watch last night, It was so amazing to see, only one turned up but I'll try again tonight, hopefully it'll be a full turn out
The LED worked well to see what's going on

Don't you just love this time of year.
There are several varieties of daffodil grown around here; whites, pale yellow, full yellows and even a multi petalled one - there's 5 kinds in this vase
An amazing find in the attic
I can only guess that this was acquired some time ago; either bought, found or by attendance at the event (rather unlikely)
He died 16th January 1864 (according to Google - other search engines are available, we shouldn't be supporting this one any more I know)
I do enjoy a run up to Glen Coe, such a beautiful run, the scenery is breathtaking. I always hope for snow at this time of year but it's not always guaranteed, mostly just rain low cloud - very moody
Two cool images from the first box of glass plate negatives.
Not really sure what's going on on either to be honest.
The first chap has his bed of nails and juggling clubs with a strange device around his neck, the second showing somebody wearing unusual head gear.
I found several old boxes in the attic containing glass plate negatives. These are 120 -140 years old from a relative that clearly had skill, money, equipment & time to travel around the continent capturing all kinds of images.
I've put these 2 together as they compliment & contrast so well.
A cat, wearing glasses, reading a book & a noble Indian looking chap with fine clothes & whiskers to match.
So cool to see the babies wandering through list night, they are always a little nervous of the camera, but it's still lovely to see them
The back end of some very beautiful cars.
I'm no petrol head but I do appreciate fabulous design when I see it, these art deco inspired vintage American cars from the 50's are amazing.
Oddly I find the rear of the car to be much prettier then the front
So sleek, curvy - akin to the batmobile, maybe that's where I get my vibe from.
The slimy post
Maybe an old fishing line or lobster pot tether from quite some time ago
Covered in an almost luminous green slime seaweed
Mother nature is truly amazing.
Some stunning beaches in New Zealand, generally nobody else there, just me, my phone and a few nesting birds

Cute little quail spotted in the undergrowth on a recent bush walk,
Didn't realise I'd caught a baby quailling in the background too until later.
Merry Christmas to you all
Hope you have a lovely peaceful day with family and friends
My newest house guest.
A lovely female Praying Mantis
I'm only guessing it's a female as there's lots of very small mantlings around given that they famously kill the males after conceiving.
Came across some baby Oyster Catchers yesterday.
Little well camouflaged fluff balls running around mum and occasionally hiding beneath her for some shade from the sun
