Good morning, friends

Early morning meetings and other work activities for me meant that these two went on a walk with the dude only.

Apparently, #Niko rubbed his face in a poo-y shrub. Because of course he did.

The dude has done as much cleaning as he could, Niko's cheek and neck fur are pretty clean but also still kinda stinky.

#Gracie had fun on her walk, did not rub her face in poo, and is not surprised by anything anymore.

Sometimes you annoy the neighbor dogs (Shep and Minnie) just by being on a walk while they're not so much on a walk

Two dogs are on their walk with a dude, walking past a shady spot just outside a fenced yard. Inside the fenced yard are two German Shepherds, a big one and a smaller one, who are being annoyed by the fact that we're on a walk and they are not on a walk. or else they're guarding their territory. it's hard to know, really.

So I just had to metaphorically barf up a whole rant about being conditioned to always act happy/pleasant even when there's superduper weird badness underlyingly, also my mom is not doing well and I love her.

Tonight I'm feeling vary sad about all of the stuff in that rant.

#Gracie and #Niko are nearby and well and that's genuinely helpful.

It's an early morning and it's gonna be a long day so here's a throwback to April 2021. #Gracie and #Niko periodically succeed in pulling me over on walks. We're working on walking together slowly.

Gracie is absolutely into the whole 'listen and play the game' thing, and Niko is chaos.

This is when we started saying that if they were cars, Gracie would be the Batmobile and Niko would be a Corvair.

Still true in 2025.
