I really do love this mini baguette pan from Emile Henry. It makes the most lovely Ghibli looking loaves.

Today's very exciting plans are picking up a grocery order and doing some meal prep.
We continue my search for breakfast food I'm willing to eat on a semi regular basis but also won't spoil when I have a rough week and don't get out of bed until 10/11a and therefore go straight to lunch.
Going to try freezing breakfast bowls in my souper cubes. Hashbrowns, onions, egg, cheese and sausage/bacon. Also gonna try simple breakfast sandwiches. Hopefully this will work.
So far today I have baked sourdough bagels and have a loaf of whole wheat sourdough bread in the oven.
It feels nice to be baking again. But good gracious I am fucking exhausted.
This week has felt hard.
The Expanse plus knitting is a perfect way to spend this rainy Monday night.
Logging out of everything for a day or two. Just need to find my footing again. Feeling too overwhelmed and always connected, so gonna take a beat to just "be".
Woke up today (after sleeping through the night which is rare) feeling refreshed and happy. Which is also astonishingly rare.
I really think that cancelling everything yesterday and just spending my day baking and playing video games is the reason. Sometimes we just need to check out of life for the day.
Sometimes you just need to ignore the world and luxuriate.
Fuck yeah! I haven't completely forgotten what I'm doing.
I always forget (literally always, I posted this last time too) how easy oyakodon is to make. Especially if I take the time to prep it all first.
There is something oh so satisfying about a well-prepped dinner. Taking a little bit of extra time to chop, marinated, mix, etc... and having lovely stainless steel prep equipment for doing so is absolutely worth it.
Went for a walk today (and yesterday!) Been working on adding more movement to my days, and this is an easy one. Especially with my person here.
Delivered food to my friend tonight!
I hope they and their partner enjoy :D Lasagna and salad for tonight and then some things for the freezer.
I really feel so happy and my heart is so full.
I'm tired, and today was long AF. Time for a little treat before bed.
Self care after the party last night means eggs benny brunch.
Pretzels, fresh out of the oven!
Definitely out of practice making and shaping them.
Finished this dude last night.
I started him years ago. One of my earliest attempts at amigurumi, and I can for sure see how far I've come, but I am so proud of finishing it too.
Was started as a gift for someone not in my life anymore, and will now move on in joy to a newfound friend.
Went to a different munch tonight than the one we tried last month. Had a much better time. Was able to actually chat with folks due to a very different table layout. And felt a little more comfy talking to people as well.
It's been literal decades since I've had an in person community (even an entirely vanilla one), so it's been amazing finding that again.
Next munch is board game munch :D I'm gonna learn how to play commander magic.
Yeaaaah, it's worth the extra 30 ish min there and back to my nail tech's new salon.
Over the moon about these nails.
Okay, the work part of today has SUCKED, yay panic attacks.
BUT I found out that this lovely couple I'd been chatting with in a local discord server are my neighbors. Literally... we share a wall of a townhouse complex! Hahaha...
I had NO idea.
We've had such a lovely afternoon chatting and making plans for future dinners and board game nights and just being in community.
My hobbit heart is full.
