CGM sensor was super sensitive to my sleeping position. I found back to be best for the sensor, but as an active sleeper, staying on my back was not happening.

I’ve found sensors that are wonky on the first day also tend to be super sensitive to pressure. But usually resolve after a couple of days.

So I’ll give it another day as it appears to, otherwise, be settling.

Had my first “low” since starting bolus insulin, but it was fake news.

@Fury To be honest, #Libre3 has been pretty great overall. As they ramp up support for pump integration and whatnot, maybe these missing features will come in. We’ll see!

But yeah, insurance is also not covering these. I’m using discount programs to get the cost down.

So the Libre 3 I put on yesterday remains more than 20% high after a day.

To those that don’t know, a CGM must be within 20% error of blood glucose in order to be considered accurate. This is by regulation.

Were I able to calibrate it, as Dexcom allows, I would actually be able to keep the sensor. But I must remove it and replace it to keep it from skewing my data that my doctor accesses during assessments.

So it’s getting replaced.

Went from having a 24 hour TIR of 16% a few days ago to hitting 97% today.

Illness? Ramifications of my endo withholding a prescription and I’m back on it now? Who knows.

Just glad to be back to my regular management. I’m, typically, between 85% and 95%.

Well, not quite. My insulin use is still a little higher, though I’ve been titrating down this week.

I hadn’t had compression low issues with prior forearm sensors, but this one seems particularly sensitive. Woke me up a couple of times, with one of the alerts nearly crossing into urgent low territory. I was not low at any point during the night.

We’ll see how it goes over the next few days.

But definitely going back to upper chest after this one.

I wear a CGM that has to be changed every 14 days. I decorate it. But if I have to throw it away every 2 weeks, why bother?

Stuff like this is kinda important for the mental health side of things. Our medical devices can feel cold and sterile, as in an emotionless device that just exists like a wart. Decorating it adds life and personality.

It’s a small thing, but for some, can be an important thing.

And I can change it every 2 weeks to suit my whims.
