Ich hatte auch so meine Probleme mit der Nextcloud und habe gerade nach acht Jahren gewechselt. Ich glaube, die Nextcloud versucht eine eierlegende Wollmilchsau zu sein, und das ist eben kein Selbstläufer, sondern man muss dauernd Hand anlegen. Und das kostet Zeit und Nerven. Mit meinen Daten bin ich in der Zwischenzeit bei #Filen und #koofr gelandet, Kalender und Kontakte funktionieren wunderbar mit posteo.

Ich verstehe eh nicht, warum #NextCloud so beliebt ist. Vielleicht weil es viele Features hat und daher in der Theorie auch sehr viele use Cases abbilden kann. In der Praxis läuft es halt wie von dir beschrieben.
Für File Sync gibt es im #Linux/Open-Source-Bereich viele gute Lösungen. Die Frage ist immer wer oder was auf der anderen Seite ist. #Syncthing #Seafile #Filen oder #Unison #rsync
Mit Web-Anwendungen habe ich weniger Erfahrung, aber Webmailer gibt es auch bessere.

Herzlichen Dank @_DigitalWriter_ - für mich super beschrieben. Die fünf Methoden der Synchronisation bieten sehr gute Einstiegspunkte. Von der aktuellen filen.io - Geschwindigkeit konnte ich mich schon letzte Woche überzeugen. Jetzt gilt es ein Einsatz-Konzept zu entwickeln ...

Foto-Sync klappt sehr smooth (bei mir iPhone -> Filen), einschließlich Übernahme der Alben.
Vor allem: Keine Komprimierung - die Fotos bleiben unverändert!
Okay, wenn ich es schaffe, mache ich an diesem Wochenende den Artikel zu Filen fertig.
Die Tests sind gut verlaufen. Und Filen bietet doch eine Reihe von Möglichkeiten, die man bei anderen Clouds nicht findet.
Eine gute Alternative, wenn man gerade in diesen Zeiten von US-Clouds Abschied nehmen möchte :-)
(Auf den Unterschied zur Nextcloud werde ich auch etwas eingehen.)
Filen ca. 5 x schneller im Vergleich zu pCloud:
So, mal einen ersten schnellen Geschwindigkeitstest gemacht: Filen gegen den Crypto-Ordner von pCloud antreten lassen.
War jetzt nur 1 große Datei, muss ich dann noch mit kleineren testen, aber das Ergebnis ist recht eindeutig. Upload Filen mit 270 MB/Sek., pCloud nur 60 MB/Sek.
(Mein WLAN: 100 down/40 up).

Raquel de AbrilLlevaba un tiempo queriendo sacar mis calendarios de Google, pero servicios como #Tuta o #Proton en su versión gratuita no dejan diferenciar tipos de eventos o usar etiquetas de distintos colores (es decir, solo deja tener un calendario). Hoy, gracias a algún usuario de Mastodon (del que ahora siento mucho no haberme quedado con su usuario) he descubierto #Infomaniak, una empresa que almacena en Suiza, que sí ofrece esto en su plan gratuito, además de 15gb de almacenamiento en nube, libreta de contactos y edición de documentos compartidos (estilo Google Docs). También ofrece correo electrónico, chat y sala de videollamadas. Vamos, que sustituye los servicios principales de Google.
No tengo mucho conocimiento técnico en ciberseguridad/privacidad, así que no puedo asegurarlo, pero no tiene una encriptación total/política de cero-conocimiento, como creo que sí tienen Proton y Tuta o, como nube, Filen. Pero me ha parecido una alternativa muy cómoda para los calendarios y los contactos (que ya he borrado totalmente de Google) y para el trabajo colaborativo (para el que solo conocía la alternativa de #cryptpad) para quien quiera salirse de Google o no tener ese tipo de datos en USA, no pueda/quiera pagar por otro servicio y no necesite ese nivel de encriptación.
Mientras tanto, sigo usando #Filen como nube para mis fotografías y archivos importantes. Ahí sí que está todo encriptado, pero es cierto que las opciones de colaboración e integración en otros dispositivos son estrechas (también hay que decir que el precio es muy bueno).

I've been looking for a secure cloud storage provider that offers zero-knowledge, end to end encryption and open-source code. Currently, I'm using Proton Drive but I'm trying to rely on them less (also, there is no Linux support yet). The one that looks the most promising at the moment in terms of security/storage/price/Linux&Android support is Filen (https://filen.io), I'll try it out and see how it goes.
Please let me know if you have better alternative suggestions.
Edit: I probably shouldn't have stated Proton's support for Trump as a fact and I'm willing to give them a second chance. But I'm still looking for alternatives to their services, as this has illustrated for me personally that it's not a good idea to rely on any one single company for a whole range of services, no matter how reliable they have been.

@zstg @afreytes my current problem with the #Filen test is that the #Android client doesn't seem to photo upload in the background. As soon as I open the app, it does a (so far) great job of the uploads but I have to load it every time, and there doesn't seem to be any background functionality.
I apparently bought a lifetime zero quota mobile only license for #iDrive a few years ago, it's not ideal for my needs but I will leave it on for on-the-fly phone backups at no cost or worry.

Un drive complètement chiffré, en Europe (Allemagne) fonctionne sur Linux contrairement à Proton, et en plus propose la synchro de répertoire, le montage réseau, mais aussi un serveur local WebDAV et S3 !
