Users can opt in and control AI usage in #chats, including blocking others from using AI features.

Microsoft tries to reassure Europe. At the same time it remains an american company , a US platform with all the uncertainty and insecurity caused by the current regime in the USA. The better alternative is that the EU develops it's own cloud and AI industry and platforms.
Regardless all Microsoft assurances, Trump has shown not follow the Rule of Law in the US. So promised legal protections are weak.
