Pretty amazed to see the demand for the #EuropeanSleeper this afternoon. Platform is really busy!
Photo from the diverted #EuropeanSleeper 1278 (and later 1279) from yesterday. As mentioned, due to maintenance works the train got diverted via Maastricht instead of Roosendaal. A good opportunity to photograph the train in Zuid-Limburg 
. The photo has been taken just before Maastricht with a TCS (ex-NS) 1700 providing traction.

Today #EuropeanSleeper 1278 from Venezia towards Bruxelles is taking an interesting detour. Due to maintenance works on line 12 Roosendaal - Antwerpen, the train is diverted via Maastricht - Hasselt and Leuven. At Boxtel the locomotive will change side of the train as there is no direct connection from Venlo -> Eindhoven -> Maastricht. From Boxtel towards Bruxelles the train is riding as ES 1279.
And the #EuropeanSleeper is on its way back to the Netherlands and Belgium - from Venezia Mestre!

Had late dinner in the #ES452 #EuropeanSleeper @diningcar from #Dresden to #Rotterdam tonight. Total darkness outside but nice atmosphere inside. On our menu: Gyoza as starter, beef with bread dumplings and vegan kung pao chicken with rice as main courses, topped off with a speculoos cheesecake.

The rules of #DiningCar are different to a normal restaurant. Sharing a table means guaranteed conversation (in my case, with two Aussies on a month-long Europe trip).
The food on the #EuropeanSleeper was good value, especially for train catering: I paid €35 (£31) for three courses and a glass of wine.
