Feeding on the Wing

I’m off to a slow start today and haven’t made much progress. I had hoped to have this done by 9:00 AM, but here we are.

For those who follow my posts—Ben started Laverdia today. I also decided to take him off Tramadol, as I suspected it was suppressing his appetite and leaving him in a dazed state. Already, he seems more like his old self. We'll see how things go from here.

The ruby-throated hummingbirds (Archilochus colubris) seem to favor this old rustic feeder above all the others—though, perhaps it’s simply because the newer one is still empty.
