In this column, Bernard Keane (Crickey) has either prepared the Party faithful for an inevitable defeat at #Election25, or (in the event that #AlboPM 's office ever read his columns) warning the Labor Leader to up his game to ensure a return to office. Either way, what he writes kind of hits the nail on the head - though it may not be the best hammer. The 'small target' strategy adopted by Labor which won them government is not going to do it for them this time around, THAT is a GIVEN.
Concluding with 3 factoids that the electorate has been repeating for the last two years: "Voters aren’t interested in the composition of the workforce, or what proportion of the economy manufacturing makes up. They want to know (1) when energy and grocery prices are going to fall, (2) when the corporations that have gouged them and ripped them off will get their comeuppance, and (3) when the economy will start delivering for them rather than for investors, executives and the rich."
Of Albo's managerial style of leadership Keane remarks that "No-one else is playing by the rules."
