@OSM_tourism i'm a bit lost here. Did ID developers make up tags for a section because it was convenient for them? and nobody noticed?

@marbles not really, it was noticed lists.openstreetmap.org/piperm, but no actions have been taken, see taginfo.openstreetmap.org/sear (preset in ID, therefore the high numbers). But no scheme whatsoever. This leads to a wild bunch of different tagging schemes. Especially interesting if you try to tag something which offers different vehicles (probably only for rent / repair / parts or a mixture, not everything is a dedicated "standard" shop)

lists.openstreetmap.org [Tagging] service:vehicle: prefix

@OSM_tourism oh crazy, so there hasn't been a formal proposal on that yet?
