A cybersecurity firm claims 89 million Steam accounts are for sale on the dark web, including passwords and phone numbers. Valve denies any breach of Steam systems, calling the leaked data old SMS codes unrelated to user accounts.

There might be a breach of 89 million Steam 2FA codes and possibly user credentials via a supplychain-attack at the Valve 3rd party supplier "Twilio."

As far as I know, this is still unconfirmed, but out of an abundance of caution, if you have a Steam account, change your password, reset your 2FA code / enable 2FA, and make sure you're not reusing your Steam password anywhere else. These accounts will be compromised as well.
