‘Figurehead’

Like the prow of a ship… this is Figurehead… a limited edition print and the first one as we move to the forest wall of my Untamed exhibition @wildernessgallery.

The beautiful curve and patterning of this tree caught my eye. It looked ready to set sail down the waters of the river. The richness of the moss and loamy dark soil spoke of velvet luxury and an exotic journey to an enchanted land.

On a more serious note… My thoughts go out to everyone impacted by the fires, the wildlife and for everyone. Hopefully moving into the rainforest wall will symbolically cool things down somehow…

Like friends leaning in to share a secret, comfort and warmth to be shared. Safety in numbers. Dancing in groups. Joined together for bravado and mischief.

These trees remind me of all these things we like to do with our crew… whoever they are and wherever they may be. Sometimes it’s nice to be with your huddle
