The brownish vines they are hanging from are out of focus as are the green leaves glowing with light. Further in the background behind the flowers is a green jackfruit leaf out of focus. Had to move plants around to hand-pollinate flowers and some spider berries fell off. They’re not quite ripe.

Tastes like strawberry+fig (but less intense), sweet but a little tart, has floral notes and aftertaste like rose. Not huge flavor but nice. The texture is sorta crisp like mitsuba stems.

A spider berry cut in half on a wooden countertop. The berry is a flattened sphere shape like a blueberry but has spidery like appendages growing near where the stem was hanging. The insides are almost bloody looking wit deep red veins permeating across white to pink and red membrane. The bottom of the berry is so dark it’s almost black.

One of the berries that fell off on a wooden countertop before it was cut in half. It is laying on its side with the spidery legs propping it up. The bottom of the berry still has some white veins creeping up and is a bit similar to the bottom of a blueberry where the flower hangs off. The rest of the berry is almost black it is a very dark purple. The spidery legs still have a touch of green but are mostly purple.

Reddish purple spider berries hanging off a plant. These are not quite ripe and the spidery legs are still green. There are green leaves around and droplets of water bc it just rained.

Esse é o pé de flor que temos no quintal. Como ele não dá cheiro, recebeu a sentença de "planta inútil" pelas instâncias superiores e será retirado e substituído por um cajueiro. Até as plantas precisam mostrar serviço nessa família.
