Also, the political system of the Nordic Countries is sometimes called "democratic socialism", but I don't recognize that. We might call it something along the lines of "fairly well regulated capitalism with a developed - albeit deeply imperfect - level of social support."

Also, I will try to run this reminder as a daily greeting to friends and allies in the US; besieged by the hatred of the incoming adminstration and its supporters. and as a touch of friendship and sanity in an angry unhinged world. If the reminder pleases you and makes you feel some sort of fellowship, it has done its job for the day.

After the Brexit vote I ran a daily reminder for British friend for a number of years. Some of you will know it. It contained the line

"This is your daily reminder that you have millions of friends and allies in the EU".

It also cotained a new message each day, depending on the day.

After the Repibublican election victory, I'm considering a new reminder for US friends. Do y'all have suggesions for the recurring line?
