40 years ago this week, "One Night In Bangkok" by #MurrayHead entered the #Top10 at 9. It peaked at 3 on 18 May 1985. I'd always assumed it was sung by #Taco, but I guess not. I've never seen "Chess", the musical, so I tracked down some of the other songs from it. Nothing I recognized, but they all sound like 80s musicals. Not surprising, I suppose, since they were written by #TimRice. youtube.com/watch?v=rgc_LRjlbT #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo

Easter isn’t just about candy—gamers know it’s about secrets. Hidden rooms, surprise cameos, developer jokes, and things you were never supposed to find. Some are funny. Others are just plain creepy. And a few nearly broke the entire industry. These are the best Easter eggs in video games—from Atari to Elden Ring. Hidden secrets, surprises, and scandals await.

40 years ago this week, "Private Dancer" by #TinaTurner entered the #Top10 at 9. It peaked at 7 on 23 Mar 1985. This might be my favourite of her songs, contrasting the wistful lyrics and the funky melody. I just learned it was originally written and recorded by #DireStraits, but never released. They gave it to Tina Turner, and most of them participated in the new recording. Mark Knopfler was replaced by Jeff Beck. youtube.com/watch?v=d4QnalIHlV #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo

40 years ago this week, "Relax" by #FrankieGoesToHollywood entered the #Top10 and peaked at 10. If you're thinking we already saw this go by, you're right. However, when "Two Tribes" came out a year later, "Relax" climbed the charts again. Since I already posted the music video, here's an early performance from before they had a record contract. youtube.com/watch?v=HPRsmeUbE- #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo

40 years ago this week, "Neutron Dance" by #ThePointerSisters entered the #Top10 at 10. It peaked at 6 on 16 Feb 1985. This video makes me want to rewatch "Beverly Hills Cop" more than last year's "Axel F" did. I guess Bronson Pinchot was free, since he hadn't started "Perfect Strangers" yet, but I was surprised to see Gary Burghoff. I guess he was looking for work after "W*A*L*T*E*R" didn't sell. youtube.com/watch?v=i-jdhorGtQ #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo
