"Disco Inferno" is a song by American #disco band #theTrammps from their 1976 studio album of same name. Wow, early July since my last movie notes. Euros, Olympics then a flooded family room means watching only on a pc and it is just not the same. I did however strike a few off of my 2024 challenge during the last 2 months.

1955s #TheNightOfTheHunter starring Robert Mitchum. Folks told me it is now considered a classic film noir and I get it. A bit dark, a bit creepy and a bit alright!

1963s #TheGreatEscape Never having seen it, I could still hum the theme tune, which goes to show what a cultural reference the film is today. I am not sure what I think of this one. It was enjoyable but "too Hollywood" for my tastes.

1979s #Alien. Scary? Sure but it is less abut the alien and more about the apprehension and suspense of when, where and who is next. Totally understandable how this spawned (see what I did there) so many sequels. 1 was enough for me.

1977s #SaturdayNightFever He has had a number of questionable movie roles but boy, #JohnTravolta shone in this movie. Although set in the 70s disco era, I didn't feel like it was dated in any way. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Producer #RobertStigwood wanted to call the film Saturday Night, but singer #RobinGibb expressed hesitation at the title.
