#WorkingFromHome has its advantages. Blasting cool songs when they hit your #plexamp playlist.
#Prodigy with Spitfire is definitely one of those songs.
Being my last work day for this week, this is appropriate.

Rewatching #StarTrek #Prodigy S2 and mediating on how Adreek-Hu's death was the oposite of Icheb's death in #StarTrekPicard
One the one hand in Adreek you have a new character who's death is elevated through the story. A few lines when they're alive. But we feel their death deeply through the sense of loss and anguish on Chayotay through Baltran's great performance and great scripting.
And on the other hand... [to be continued]
Star Trek: Prodigy is one of my fave Trek series ever, and you should watch it on Netflix if you haven’t yet. (Heads up: the beginning is a bit like Farscape in the “a bunch of alien prisoners that don’t trust each other steal a ship and have to learn to get along.” So there are several episodes with interpersonal friction. Keep going, I promise you the teaminess becomes some of the best ever on a Star Trek show.) #StarTrek #Prodigy
I put off watching Star Trek Prodigy until now, as it was marketed "for kids".
However, it's one of the best Trek shows overall, and they even infused the best of Star Wars into Star Trek as well. (The first two episodes already feel very Star Wars-y, but it's not just those episodes.)
It's an amazing Trek, fits in very well with other Prime universe Trek, and actually surpasses most Star Trek shows — especially of the "new" Trek.
There are 2 seasons on Netflix. Go watch.
We're two weeks away from the new Section 31 movie, but what Star Trek are you watching between now and then?
Whether it's #Discovery, #Picard, #StrangeNewWorlds, #LowerDecks or #Prodigy join us as we explore the meaning, philosophy, and ethics of #StarTrek.

All her enthousiasm and willingness to help out makes her a lovely addition to the Prodigy crew.

Was Prodigy an online service, a band, a rapper, a Pokémon series, a Star Trek series, or something else?
Since I have nothing (sorry, I mean *EVERYTHING*) to do on Thanksgiving, I'm premiering my "online in '89" talk from @demosplash on YouTube in ~2 hours (8pm EST):
Star Trek 31 Day Challenge: Day 11 - Fave Prodigy Episode
PRO: Cracked Mirror
Captain Chakotay finally rescued from his isolation in the Delta Q.
Dal to Chakotay "O, looks like someone's ready to be sent to the Admiral's Ready Room."
Lots of well-informed #tech folks these days didn't get to experience a #BBS, #AOL, #Prodigy, etc. Yet the #demoscene really thrived in this era!
Come to @demosplash in #Pittsburgh this weekend and hear @inversephase talk about being online in a pre-web world!
Amplifying with a few hashtags as @GoodAaron is a super person to follow.
We’re very fortunate to have some creators animated media here.
And a reminder for those new to Mastodon that following hashtags, people and group chat bots is the way to fill your timeline with what you’re looking for. You can organize them with lists, mute duplicate boosts, or just mute hashtags to filter out topics you don’t wish to see.

DANG THAT'S IT
WOW Y'ALL I just watched every fucking Star Trek ever. it's been a wild ride, thanks for following along with me!
as previously discussed, I'm now going to rewatch #TheMagicians for the billionth time, cry a lot, and probably not post about it (and no @serge, I'm probably not gonna watch Babylon 5 anytime soon)
I'll be back with more Star Trek opinions once the new seasons drop, but until then this is it
