A few more thoughts on #HangTrek & #SarlaccPit, from, as it were, a certain point of view. (Mine.)
1. Hosts: Everything doesn’t have to be a quote. Quotes are popular, but it’s ok to use shorter phrases.
2. Check your guesses on the web or via whatever source you have. This is a slow-paced game. It’s a shame when someone comes really close but misses. There’s no harm in just guessing again once you’ve come close & failed. But you’re not likely to lose out if you spend 2 minutes with a search engine before answering. (And of course that’s more important when hosting.)
3. You don’t need to do anything but fill in the blanks when you’re guessing. You don’t need to identify the source of the quote or anything. Adding more potentially complicates the answer, since it can be partly wrong. I know the temptation to show off one’s knowledge, add a link or a gif or whatever context. That’s what the #HangTrekSolved or #SarlaccPitSolved toot is for. Guess correctly and host the next one to show off.
