#GettingStarted with #GameDev:

Make some minigames: Make the reload bar from Gears of War, a 1D version of pong, golf swing meter, the attack timing from Ikenfell, etc. These are really simple small mechanics that still have an element of fun: the minimal game.

Get a blue circle on screen. Make it move toward a green circle and press a button to stop it when they overlap. Score the player on timing.

It's not necessarily easy, but it's minimal enough that you can succeed and gain confidence.

Was talking with a friend who is interested in getting licensed. I was asked what radio they should look at.

Oof. Talk a bout a messy matrix of features and money. I'm trying to conjure an answer but if anyone out there knows of an article or blog post that is particularly instructive, I'd love to see it!

Come join us for this mont's meeting! Tuesday, Sept 10, 2024, 6:30pm Eastern. Attending our meetings is always free.

Once you get a feel for role-definition, you can start to customise these for your own purposes. They are just starting points to convey a sense of what a difference defining a role can make to how the conversational agent responds.

New users on #firetribe might be wondering where everyone in the world is, or thinking the 'global' feed seems oddly skewed to a few topics.

Our Global feed only shows accounts that someone here is following. But there's far more people on the fediverse to follow than we can see right now! For some suggestions check out the
fediverse.info directory or notable fediverse accounts or invite a friend!

You can also search for hashtags like 'introduction' or 'NewHere' for fresh posts from servers nearby. Try posting your own introduction and see what follows you get!
