I was against an all-out block of the #Threads platform because it discriminated against its users.

But #MarkZuckerberg now wants #Instagram (and by extension Threads) to be flooded with #AI generated content.

Yeah.

Fuck that.

I am silencing Threads on all of my instances. Not going to block them outright (again, the users have no control over this crap so no point in harming them). But silencing at least will stop Threads content from appearing in the global timeline and only people that subscribe to a Threads user will see their content.

“I think were going to add a whole new category of content which is AI generated or AI summarized content, or existing content pulled together by AI in some way,” the Meta CEO said. “And I think that that’s gonna be very exciting for Facebook and Instagram and maybe Threads, or other kinds of feed experiences over time.”
