In this strip of Everybody Loves Smiley we see Ernie completely asleep in the first panel. He is at his desk, in front of his computer. In the second panel Ella comes in and she says 'Hi Ern!'. Ernie wakes up suddenly and says 'hrng- IM AWAKE!'. In the third panel, unimpressed, Ella says '...Are those reports ready?'. Ernie starts working, with his face looking exhausted, and says 'Sorry, Ella - can't talk -, gotta finish these reports for Ella.'

The first one has some boxes of text: 'In front of a spacious fireplace of the old kind, when the logs were well-alight, and men with pipes and glasses were gathered before it in great easeful chairs, and the wild weather outside and the comfort that was within and the hour of the night all called for the weird and the uncanny.... Then out spole the Ex-Master of Foxhounds -- and told his tale.' The Ex-master of Foxhounds then talks while wielding a cigar: '...And I... I once had an odd experience, too.' Second panel has a fox in the foreground being chased. Text reads 'It was when I had the bromley and sydenham, the year I gave them up -- as a matter of fact it was the last they of the season. Twas early April, and we had drawn blank all day-- And on the last draw of all we found a fox. We settled down into a steady gallop-- left the clay lands where the bracken grows and came to a valley at the edge of the chalk--'

I am not that active these days, but when I saw it I was really excited: #Fodongo zine has gone to "annual subscription" plan, apart from the donations and per issue support!! And not just digital, but physical and the paper smell and feeling is so good :3

Best part is that it's a #comic zine for #openculture #freeculture and in general #freedom in #art with one HECK of a good editor (who treats the artists in the most human way possible @jectoons) I'd be really really happy if you could support it, to help comic artist and art and free culture! Today marks one year since the #Fodongo project started, a Free-Culture Comics Zine. So far 10 issues have been released and I am so happy and proud of all the work the contributors have put behind it and of what has been achieved.

Thank you for reading and supporting independent artists, and for making Free-Culture. Thank you for this first year to all the wonderful artists who have been part of this, and to everyone who has read our comics.

May we celebrate many more.

I've grown distant from the usual grinding exercises because I had to finish a commission for Mr. @jectoons and #Fodongo zine. The result turned out more good than I initially thought I could make, so probably all the cylinders and boxes helped?

Anyway. What I want to do now as part of my art journey sharing is 3 images for a panel that really loved making (panel will be included)!

In the images are the initial draft of how I was thinking of going about the scene. It was very "static", as that showed some sort of powerful guy, but after doing some iterations and played with gestures the final scene actually formed they way it did, much more dynamic, much more powerful, with the guy being so much more full of bloodlust than just "empty" power.

An inked and screentoned comic page panel. It depicts a muscular fatty man saying "NO ONE...MESSES...WITH...MY...IMPLANTS!!! YOU HEAR ME?!". The man wears prisoners pants, and a white flannel and has some tech implant on top of his head. He holds on one arm a girl by the neck who shouts in a psychic voice "please... help me..." and his other is back from punching the girl. Girl has a curly bob cut and wears rugged clothes robes-style. Kinda like a jedi master, hehe

Since an art journey includes some fun every now and then, I did the very first drafts of a 3-page derivative work... I won't share which one yet. But it's #freeculture, it's CC-BY-SA and one of the works done in #Fodongo zine :D

I will try to share every step of the process, but sometimes it will be only small parts of the page(s)... There's a good chance that you'll see quite a few changes from the initial draft. Maybe none too though :P
