Anyone feel like listening to some music that's joyful, buoyant and upbeat as we head into the weekend? Here's PJ Sin Suela for @npr's Tiny Desk. The proud Puerto Rican rapper, doctor and author exudes enthusiasm and smiles, accompanied by vocalists, flute, piano, trumpet, tenor sax, guitar, bass and more. PJ is the first artist to incorporate a sign language interpreter (Alexssa Hernández) into a Tiny Desk show. We're sharing this link with everyone we know.

"I am a CODA, a child of a deaf adult, which, I guess, makes my mother a COHA, a child of a hearing adult. Two actually," says stand-up comedian and writer Moshe Kasher in his new book, "Subculture Vulture." LitHub has published this extract, in which Kasher discusses deaf history, language and education. "The decisions of people with zero experience in the deaf world, who have never really thought about deafness in any way, shape the future of the deaf, again and again," he writes.

“Any hearing improvement I would call a total win, and getting patients to moderate hearing loss is remarkable,” says Lawrence Lustig, a physician at Columbia University who runs studies of hearing treatments. “As a first step, this is huge.”

Hard agree. This is so cool.

I attended my first Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)'s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HoH) Working Group meeting yesterday.

We talked about what our group can do to help support Deaf and HoH folks at conferences, at jobs, and how do we spread awareness so we feel more included in tech spaces. I am excited to be a part of helping tech be more inclusive.
