You know, the #UX of #Mastodon would be that much more friendly if only those "Hide" and "ALT" buttons didn't get in the way of every image in one's feed.
So often these days, images have text in them -- and wouldn't you know it, the text is often blocked because of those buttons.
IMHO the hassle of the buttons' impeding legibility exceeds the value as affordances for managing the image.
I wish there were a user setting to hide them. Skeletor agrees!
Do you want to see some sexy stockings? Of course you want to see some sexy stockings. I'm not sure they make 'em like this any more...

Looking through my buttons today.
It turns out I have a pretty selection of green glass buttons — I especially love the pear & heart!
Other type of handmade buttons. I used polymer clay. I found clay is easier to use in the summer due to the warm weather.
What I like about clay is you can decide on shape, size and colour every single time. The uniqueness of each button makes them all satisfying at the end. The process is fun too!

I'm used to #mouse #buttons. There was no avoiding them until like 10 years ago or so, where laptop touchpads stopped coming with them.
Recently I got a #keyboard thing with a modern touch pad with no mouse buttons.
Well, I'll just get used to it. Millions of people enjoy them, they can't all be wrong!
The past 3 months of my lived experience without mouse buttons confirm: all those people are wrong.
Whole-pad click sucks. Emulated right sucks.
Give me back my mouse buttons!
I was looking through my brown buttons…
Sharing these extra interesting ones with you.
The large ones probably came from coats.
Plus those odd-shaped ones on the left – in two sizes!
Decided to update my OMG.LOL page a bit more today. Added some useful buttons to the bottom of the page.
Couple of those buttons were made by @andycarolan and the others I'm not sure who made them, but I think they look nice, regardless.

Officially confirmed: Physical #buttons are cool (again). Maybe there's even a chance for #Blackberry?
«That’s not to say touchscreens aren’t a really useful interface, I think they are. But on the other hand, people seem to have a hunger for physical buttons, both because you don’t always have to look at them—you can feel your way around for them when you don’t want to directly pay attention to them—but also because they offer a greater range of tactility and feedback.»

"Touch Screens Are Over. Big Tech is bringing back #buttons. Screen interfaces require people to look at them, making the 'touch screen' a misnomer.
Buttons, knobs, sliders, and other physical controls are making a comeback in vehicles, appliances, and personal electronics. Engineers and designers are tapping into people's sense of touch and spatial awareness to make using gadgets easier, more fun, and in some cases, safer.
Physical interfaces allow people to use devices without looking and makes interactions with machines more intuitive." - wapo

Physical buttons, switches, and dials returning to cars?
YES, count me IN!
A lot of pride
And also a generous helping of wrath
I’ve had fun adding more details to my green + pink little pretty.
