PLANT UPDATE:

Suspct - Climbing(?) Aloe(?) - formerly known as Edrich Monstrosity has been chopped up, and its lil- buddies have been planted while choppies are drying up and waiting their turn ans that I find more pots.

For now, everyone is alive and well (except our orchid but we don't talk about her because she is fickle and this apartment is killing her), will update if they root and start growing. (:

Five freshly potted, and re-potted succulent plants with long, feather like thick leaves. First 2 plants sit in silver ornamented small pots, supported by wooden single-use chopsticks, middle one (which is also the largest) sits in matte gray pot without support, one next to it sits in a small, golden dim pot also supported with chopsticks, and last one sits in small white, matte pot with chopstick suppots as well. The lighting is dim, morning hue that battles with even dimmer, warm kitchen light illuminating the stone windowsill the plants sit on.

An endeavor begun here: over 2 years and maybe 4-5 years I’ve neglected my outdoor plants so worked on dividing to replant those that can be saved. I found in Arizona that an aloe plant can survive almost anything, just a bit of water every month or so. About 20 pots of succulents are now residing with my hopeful supportive vibes, under the lime tree. Watering every morning early. We’ll see.

About 14 pots of new young succulents are under a bit of shade. Mixed clay pots and plastic, mostly aloe but 2 other unknown succulents and a cactus.

@plants A brief break from snow pics: a couple of views of a little #succulent I got myself as a slightly belated 60th #birthday present! Seems it is likely x Gasteraloe 'Kabela' an intergeneric hybrid [EDIT details on parentage found- see replies]. I notice with the big uptick in the popularity of cacti and succulents in recent years, there is a huge amount of related content online, almost all of it is very low quality! #winter #houseplants #gasteria #aloe sneaking in a #FensterFreitag

A small succulent plant in a terra cotta coloured plastic pot sits on a blurred glass tablein front of a blurred light beige grey background, a shaft of light brightening one side of the nearest leaf and half lighting others, though most of the view is in light shadow.,The plant is young, with a dozen or less chunky more or less lanceolate leaves, all coming from near/ the base with no visbile stem (though leaves sort of stack upwards, so there must be a slight, inviisbile stem!). Leaves are stiff and upright, slightly curved inward, giving a sort of vase shape to the rosette. The leaves have very fine teeth on upper parts as well as lighter markings and small raised tublercles, formingfaint stripes across the leaves in places; the leaves come to a fine point, mostly soft rather than spiny. The surface is overlaid with a waxy blue-white coating over the green which gives an overall blue-green, or silvery look, referred to as glaucous.
