it's breaking my heart to say do this, but I unfortunately have to postpone the US leg of the Love & Hyperbole tour. not to be vague or cliché, but there are truly so many factors that lead to this (reluctant) decision, all of which were genuinely and completely out of my control. touring, especially today, is challenging and involves so many little moving parts. bottom line is we couldn't make it all work on time. disappointing you guys is killing me, because everything I've put into this has been for you and I know how excited you've been, but I can only hope you understand. The rest of the tour in Asia, Australia, Canada & Europe will continue as normal. As soon as I have new information on the new US dates, I will let you know. I'm so sorry to everyone who bought tickets (which will all be honoured on the new dates) and planned trips around these shows. I love you so much. I can't apologize enough and I'll make it up to you. see you soon.

Overall, a really strong album by Alessia Cara.
Undeniably, Alessia is a strong lyricist and songwriter, with a very soulful voice.
Unfortunately, one of the things that dragged down In the Meantime and TPOG for me is that Alessia can have a tendency to be over-reliant on slow/acoustic ballads.
What I like about Love and Hyperbole is that there's a good balance between uptempo tracks and ballads.
And on those slower tracks, there's enough happening in terms of production, or a big chorus, or a build towards a big final chorus, to keep things interesting.
So a really strong first impression for this new album.
